Pale green eyes

Another couple of super guests left this morning and I was bit sad. But life goes on.
In the morning we saw an amazing behaviour by a crowned lapwing, it was incubating its batch of three eggs in a patch of barren soil, we approached and it stood its ground, it did not move an inch even if I was less then 2 inches apart, meanwhile its partner was displaying, pretending it had a broken wing trying to drive me away from the eggs. An impressive example of devotion towards the next generation.
Later on we got lions eating a stinking carcass of giraffe.... the smell was unbearable, we still manage to spend some time i that spot but then the wind changed and we could not stand it anymore.
.
Wasa good morning but the best had still to come.... Naiti called me for a leopard in mbagi, we went down at four and we got this nice female up on the fork of a raintree. Pure beauty.
She was awake and looking around, the sun going down slowly broke through the foliage shining on her body. Man, she was something, we stayed one hour and eventually she moved like to stalk something we could not see.... she walked on the branch, in plain light.. everything was silent, everything was frozen in that awsome moment. she soon lost interest and walked on an higher branch to rest again.... her pale green eyes unforgettable.

Stunning spotted eagle owl close to camp, the light of the car shining on the branch were he was perching, the dark blu sky behind... thre is always another gift in the bush if you keep watching.
