Yellow spot amongst grey background

Very nice afternoon, many many elephants. We drove north bank of the sand river, towards w7, we so very little for he first half an hour except for scattered ellies and 5 ostriches.
Then we started seeing more and more breeding herd of elephants, all of them busy digging for water in the riverbed. Was so much fun, the light was perfect, we crossed the river a first time and we stopped in the middle enjoying a busy herd eating sedge, we drove up the bank and approached another breading herd within few meters, they were also busy feeding, we went down again in the sand to look an approaching herd with a small calf no more then a year old.
They slowly crossed while we were watching them and as soon as they smell us they all surounded the tiny one in a very protective manner.
On the far side of the river there was a wall of elephants, around 40 of them were drinking, giving the impression of a solid grey background, and while we were watching them, out of nowhere, its color enhanced by the contrast with the grey wall a yellow spot appeared, a lone lioness walking towards us. She came a bit closer to disappear into a small drainage line towards north. We tried to find her with no success and instead we got a nervous bull in musth, he went straight to the last breeding herd creating a lot of distress. We decided to move because was getting late but the females did not budge, we got a super nice charge at full speed by the entire breeding herd with all the orchestra of trumpeting. Great!! we went to check the hyena den but there was nobody at home so we went back, just to find the lone lioness on the road, calling the rest of the pride to find them and join them.... nice afternoon.
