Hooooneey Baaaadgeeer

A Black necked cobra entered the mess tent, it took a while but we safely dealt with the problem.
We drove down to mbagi late afternoon, a strange overcast afternoon.
After around an half an hour of impalas and little more we approached the mud hole close to fsto crossing. It is a nice place and every day we pass here we enjoy watching the catfish, every they there is less water, everyday there are less catfish but everyday they are more concentrated.
Today is a different day, there is few water, still a lot of catfis but in the middle of the pond, more muddy then the mud a lone honey badger trotted ashore and disappeared in the bush...... HONEY BADGER... maaan, by far my favourite animal, so rare to see here, I was happy like a kid.
We drove off, to the forest, saw lesser kudu, crossd the river and eventually came back. It was almost dark but to our surprise, in the same pond we found again the same stubborn badger..... it was definitely trying to grab one of the catfish in the shallow water, can seem an easy job but it is actually so muddy and the mud is so soft that even walking in there comes difficult and even dangerous.
The honey badger run out the second time and then headed to the forest and with its special fierce and fearless pace disappeared.
Badgers are the most incredile creature ever....I just cannot stop smiling.
