The fastest yet so slow...

Freezing morning... we headed out for a drive, our target was leopard or cheetah bcause our guest, a nice english girl did not see any of them yet in her life.
We had a great morning even if with no cats for loong time. We drove the mwagusi valley loking for lions that were roaring close by, all we could see were they spoors, sometimes they are so elusive and that is exactly when i do not like them anymore. The drive was nice and late morning the luck turned our way, a cheetah already spotted by another camp was waiting us more or less a 100 mtrs from the road. We were very happy and we decided to wait it to move.. and we waited and waited and waited, the other car left and Naiti came in with his car,and we waited all we could see was the tail flicking, the hea popping out of the grass and every now and then the silhouette of the predator sitting and looking around. The fastest mammal on earth, yet so slow to decide to move, after almost an hour eventually the cat moved and we coud have a much closer look to thi superbmale walking through the yellow grass.... supercool
We went then to the acacia forest just to find the local prid relaxing on the river bank, males females and cubs... full package.
We then decided to go and have another look at the cheetah and he did peform very ell walking along the road and eventually crossing in front of the car, we watched him for looong timme till he disappeared in the bush. Between this cats feast we also sawa stunning black necked cobra sloly searching a hole for food.
What a morning..
