Bush wise was a stunning day, we started with lions eating giraffe close to mwayembe, the light was that golden crispy one of early morning and the area was a flat plain with not even a tuft of grass between us and the cats.
The kill was made yesterday so there was not the usual havoc of a fresh one but the noise of them eating was still pretty good.
Jackals and hyenas were watching from a distance and half of the lions were sleeping, a couple of females and cub were still eating in rotation, one out the next one in, just a bit of growling in the overlap time.
It was a proper sighting again and we had plenty time to enjoy it.
.
We spotted lions 4 more times in the morning, amongst them a couple mating. I just finished to say to guests that the 2 were probably in mating session that they performed in front of the car. They must have been at the beginning of their week long liaison because they had a go 4 times within half an hour.
The 2 forest pride walking in the river bed completed the morning.
