Today we decided to skip the river drive, all the lions there are bloated with meat and therefore useless for Owen. Lunda road became our destinations... the landscape was wonderul and we explored some really nice area. I show Owen how to find old grinding stones left in the bush by people that was living here many many many ears ago. I spotted two and then we started a bit of competition, eventually we got what we defined a stone fever, all what we were looking at was rocks that could be grinding stones. We found more then 20 and 14 of them were really beautiful. It is amazing thinking that people was living here, in this remote wilderness, fending for themselves out of this hard envinroment. When they moved they could not bring this big stones with them so here they are, half buried in the soil, turned upside down by the same people that owned them, with the hope to come back one day and use them again.
They are stunning, you touch them and you feel the work of the women, you close your eyes and you can see them year after year carving out the granite. Carving the stone out of their daily job.
Owen also spotted two lions, it was really an awsome spot, but here in this part they are pretty nervous and after a loud growl they diappeared, running as they had their tails on fire.
