Bad job

This afternoon I waited half an hour for two lioness to stand and hunt... but the lioness were not there.... I call it a bad bad job.
Anyway the afternoon was nice, we got a male lion at mdonya juu and we were called in a sighting of hunting lioness... we arrived there and were told tat the lionesses were sleeping in the wild lavender so we waited... eventually I decided to check and there was nothing there.
They probably slipped away under our own eyes.... I really did a bad job.....

In the morning we went to see the leopard tree agian, there were no cats but a super stunning set of tracks.... the neat and fresh leopards track over some elephant's one and even the clear spoor of where the cat decided to lay down, on top of all my tyre's track from the evening before....We also got a big male lion at mdonya juu.

In the afternoon a drove again down to a place I pass every day and every day I love more. It is W7. It is a special road junction, every time a drive towards that spot from the hill and I see the sand river and the palm, life seems so promising, I just know that during the day something stunning will come out of that corner of the world. And today was no different, Evander and her sister (named today Jaya) gave us a beautiful walk in the tall grass with the river line behind them.
They were hunting but because there was no game close the ended up in a gully where probably they are hiding their cubs. Happyness.

Evander

I strongly believed this morning that we would not have seen any leopard but I was wrong... the leopards and the rain tree saga continues, the cub is playing again with us before disappearing in the tall grass.
After this stunning show , morning drive was a bit hot and dull except for a flock of saddle bill storks fishing in the river, but I deeply realized how special is this place when my guests (the sparlettas) said something like: what do you think will be the first mammal we will see in the afternon? and after I answered ... Impala... they said.... NOT A LEOPARD?...........
Anyway the first was actually impala but leopard came just some minutes after.... the mother climbed down the tree just in front of us.
We went on just to find the 2 lioness of yesterday at the water close to w7. We know them well, they are stunning hunters, one as a ear that is half missing, that is why I called her Evander, like the boxer that was bitten by Mike Tyson.... she is very pale coloured and not the most beautyful lion ever but i like her a lot. The second one is a bit younger and way more beautiful but I still have a soft spot for Evander. They went on the hunt again leaving the cubs behind, they came straight to the car, guests did not breath for a long minute... was fantastic. when we lost them in the thick we went back and enjoye the cubs..... wow.
